Why do people ship tony and steve

Hell, I even low-key ship them myself. But I always get drawn back to these two. Well there are many reasons. One is the emotional angst. I freaking adore emotional angst and this ship definitely comes out top out of any ship I can think if. Two is the fact that they would make such a power couple. Seriously , they blew up half the world when they had a fight. Which also makes them a dangerous combination, another thing that appeals to me in ships.

Third, I have never found such high quality of fanfic as I have found within this ship. Also the relationship progression within each fic is absolutely beautiful. Multiverses allow us fans a lot of material to explore, write, and make art of different versions of Steve and Tony. It shows that their love story is so resonant across different situations and worlds.

Western ideology is generally obsessed with dichotomies. I was drawn to this pairing not only because of their obvious differences, which people like to point out, but how they balance each other. They help each other be a better person, and a better hero. I love the idea of Steve and Tony co-parenting a bunch of unruly Avengers and hero kids that includes you, Clint just pleases me a lot. They're perfect for each other.

What kind of good friend could possibly recommend him as a boyfriend for Steve? It would be unconscionable. And anyway, he can't date Bucky while he's frozen in Wakanda - frozen to prevent him going on a brainwashed rampage again, we might add. Steve and Tony have been left at odds after Captain America: Civil War - and though Cap wrote that totally romantic handwritten letter to his soul mate telling him he would always be there for him, they still need to get back onto the same page.
